In the 300 years since its theatrical premiere, Moliere's "The Miser," a story of love, avarice, and miscommunication, has endured several incarnations. For two weekends in November (10,12, and 13, and 18-20), the Saint Vincent College Players, in accordance with the Saint Vincent Theater Performing Arts Center, brought the French play to life once more.

As the semester comes to a close and I think back on all the memorable things that have happened during the weeks prior to this point I cannot cringe at times. What, you may ask, has me cringing? Well, there is something that has increasingly come to my attention that I, as a graduating senior and virtual adult, feel the need to impart on you for your future good.

Stemming from the work of Dr. William Hisker and Dr. George Leiner presented in Geneva, Switzerland, Honolulu, Hawaii, and San Francisco in the early 1990s, the Center for Ethics in Community is a new addition to the Saint Vincent College school of Fine Arts and Humanities that will enhance the lives of students and possibly the lives of people everywhere.

With the Center for Ethics in Community beginning this year, The Review decided to study the actions of the students on campus. During the week of November 9-16, 2005, the Saint Vincent College Campus was subject to an experiment in ethical behavior, when abandoned wallets were left in high-traffic areas around campus.

Totally Awesome Holiday Shopping Tips

Ever notice how sometimes being at college is like living in a bubble? It's true. College students usually have a limited number of thoughts racing through their minds (sometimes even forgetting that there's another world out there). To name a few, we have: naps, beer, that stupid worthless paper that's due tomorrow and has yet to be written, beer, facebook, procrastination... Okay I think that about covers it.

(U-WIRE) SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Jane Austen's novel "Pride and Prejudice" opens with the line, "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife." The 2005 film adaptation of the book keeps this central focus on marriage, but it adds a fantastic cast, gorgeous scenery and costumes and an emotional heart that will satisfy old fans and win over new ones.

As the semester winds down, I find myself not only looking back, but also looking forward. This semester has been very successful, and hopefully next semester will be as well.
Looking back, it is hard to imagine how fast the semester went by, I am reminded of how much work has been accomplished, how many long hours have been put into projects and how much time has been devoted to friends.
